Accepting Payments

ShowUpHQ integrates directly with Stripe to allow you to accept credit and debit cards securely. You can require a card on file for all bookings or just for specific high-risk services.

Deposits

Reduce cancellations by requiring an upfront deposit.

  • Percentage: Charge 20%, 50%, or 100% of the service fee upfront.
  • Fixed Amount: Charge a flat fee (e.g., $25) to secure the slot.
  • Auto-Refund: If a client cancels within your grace period (e.g., 48 hours), the system can automatically refund the deposit.

No-Show Fees

The core of our platform. If a client ghosts you, you get paid.

  1. Mark as No-Show: In your calendar, click "No-Show" on the appointment.
  2. Auto-Charge: If configured, the system will instantly charge the card on file for the "No-Show Fee" amount (e.g., 50% of service).
  3. Notification: The client receives a receipt and a notification explaining the charge.

Refunds

Mistakes happen. You can process full or partial refunds directly from the appointment detail view. Refunds typically take 5-10 business days to appear on the client's statement.

Pro Tip

Enable "High Risk" Protection in Settings. This forces only clients with a history of no-shows to pay a 100% deposit, while keeping booking frictionless for your loyal regulars.
